Directed by Roland Emmerich, Those About To Die (Season 1) “explores a side of Romer never before told – the dirty business of entertaining the masses, giving the mob what they want most – blood and sport.”
With Production Design by Laura Pozzaglio, Those About To Die stars Anthony Hopkins (The Silence of the Lambs, Nixon), Gonçalo Almeida (Monte Clérigo), Kyle Rowe (Raven’s Hollow, The Devil’s Hour), Victor Von Schirach (The Mallorca) and Giulia Nunnari (You Shouldn’t Have Let Me In).
Deadline: “Created by Robert Rodat, based on Daniel P. Mannix’s nonfiction classic of the same name, the drama series is set in the corrupt world of the spectacle-driven gladiatorial competition, exploring a side of ancient Rome never before told.”
All 10 episodes of the series drops on Peacock on Thursday 18th July.

Laura Pozzaglio
Laura Pozzaglio is a highly experienced Production Designer. Based in both Italy and the UK, she recently wrapped Roland Emmerich’s Roman epic series, Those About to Die, featuring Anthony Hopkins. Other drama includes Disney+’s Berlinale Series Award winning The Good Mothers, and Sky’s Devils featuring Patrick Dempsey. Feature Finally Dawn was nominated for Best Film at the Venice Film Festival 2023, stars Lily James and was directed by Saverio Costanzo.
